Frequently asked questions
What is Duka247?
Duka247 is a marketplace and social-commerce platform. Merchants keep selling on WhatsApp and Instagram; Duka247 adds a storefront, checkout, local payments, and order tracking. Shoppers browse verified independent stores and pay the way each store supports.
Is Duka247 free in Nigeria?
Yes. Silver is free: a storefront, checkout, and payments, with a 5% commission on sales. Gold (about ₦8,800 per month) and Emerald include WhatsApp and Instagram AI replies in your inbox. Confirm live prices on this page.
Does Duka247 have WhatsApp AI?
Yes. Gold and Emerald include WhatsApp AI replies. Connect WhatsApp and turn them on in shop settings (off by default). When a customer messages you, Duka writes a suggested reply in their language and puts it in your inbox. You review and send. Silver has no AI replies.
Does Duka247 work with Instagram?
Yes. Share your store link on Instagram. Gold and Emerald include Instagram AI reply drafts in your inbox (you send them) and catalog drafts from product photos. You connect your Instagram account to use those tools.
Can WhatsApp AI draft replies in Pidgin, Yoruba, or Igbo?
Yes — for Gold and Emerald WhatsApp AI replies, not for the Duka247 website. The AI matches the customer’s language, including Nigerian Pidgin, Yoruba, Igbo, and English. You still review and send. The site itself is English, with French and Arabic where offered.
What payment methods do you support?
In Nigeria, shoppers typically pay with cards, bank transfer, and other local rails your store enables. Mobile money is available where we support it (for example M-Pesa in Kenya — not a Nigerian rail).
How is Duka247 different from Bumpa in Nigeria?
Bumpa is a popular Nigerian tool for running a single shop, often from WhatsApp. Duka247 also gives you a store, checkout, and WhatsApp/Instagram tools, and your shop can appear with other independent stores on the Duka247 marketplace. Gold and Emerald include WhatsApp AI replies in your inbox (you send them). Longer comparison: https://www.duka247.com/merchants/vs-bumpa
How quickly can I set up my store?
Most merchants have a store live in 5–10 minutes. Sign up for free Silver (no card required), add products, and share your store link. Gold and Emerald add WhatsApp and Instagram AI replies when you want them.
How do I get paid?
Shoppers pay Duka at checkout — you don’t need a Flutterwave or Paystack merchant ID. Add your bank name, bank, and account number in Store settings. After you mark an order delivered, we hold earnings briefly, then send your share to that account.
Can I use my own domain name?
Silver uses a slug URL on the platform domain. Gold adds a platform subdomain. Emerald can use a platform subdomain or a custom domain.
Do you offer local support?
We provide email and in-product help; local phone or chat hours depend on your region and plan.
Which currency will I be charged in?
Platform subscriptions are billed in our configured billing currency (shown on this page). Any approximate conversion to another currency is indicative only; the amount charged follows your payment provider and plan at checkout.
